Sasha is a Director, and skilled DoP, who makes feature documentary films for cinema, television and a wide variety of commercial and charitable organisations.

He has worked in challenging environments as far afield as Greenland, Siberia and Zimbabwe, collaborating with convicted murderers, tiger hunters and property tycoons.

Sasha has filmed a range projects of his own, crafting dramatic stories on the borders of documentary and fiction taking audiences into the hearts and minds of those charged with both destroying and defending our future.

He started out as an architectural photographer in San Francisco before joining the BBC as a film editor.  His first film won a BAFTA scholarship to study Documentary Direction at The National Film & Television School.

In 2006 he was nominated for an RTS AWARD in Documentary Lighting and Photography for the film ‘Arctic Crime & Punishment’.  His subsequent film, ‘Conflict Tiger’ (2006), won 17 international film festival prizes, which was followed by another environmental thriller, 'Hadwin's Judgement' (2015), a doc/drama hybrid which was nominated for two Canadian Screen Awards, for Best Feature Documentary and Best Documentary Cinematography.

His latest film, ‘The Troublemaker’ (2020), provides a blueprint for people who are sick and tired of the futility of civil discourse in combating the climate catastrophe to inspire people to embrace radical change.
