Sally Brindle


Sally is a series producer, producer and director who has worked on high-profile, prime time network programming, including factual and current affairs documentaries. 

She specialises in first person, narrative-driven documentaries that tell the inside story behind significant events, past and present. Sally has drawn out the inside stories from presidents, prime ministers, film stars and the people close to them.

In a career spanning over twenty years Sally has secured access to numerous public figures including Tony Blair, Gordon Brown, David Cameron, Boris Johnson, US Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

Producer of The Bulger Killers: Was Justice Done? The disturbing story of the murder of Liverpool toddler James Bulger 25 years on, received the highest Channel 4 viewing figures for a single doc in a 9pm slot for over four years. 



Series producer (and director of ep 3)  ‘The Blair Years’. Tony Blair contributed four interviews, along with President George W Bush (in office) and President Clinton.





Story Producer - Race for the White House (CNN Originals, now on Netflix), narrated by Kevin Spacey, a six part series about past presidential campaigns, breaking viewing records for the channel.









Producer - Strangeways: Britain’s Toughest Prison Riot  (BBC 2), marking the 25th anniversary of the 1990 prison riot, told by the prisoners and prison officers involved. 





Sally has made in-depth profiles about the lives of globally significant people, including Rupert Murdoch and Margaret Thatcher.

She secured the first television interview with Princess Diana’s lover James Hewitt for the ITV hit series Diana, Story of a Princess.



Sally has considerable US filming experience and has worked on a number of series for US broadcasters including National Geographic, Investigation Discovery and CNN Originals.

She has extensive live studio experience and has worked with a wide variety of on–screen talent including David Dimbleby, Jon Snow, Clive Anderson, Ruby Wax and David Mitchell.
