A multi-award-winning director and cinematographer, Anna creates gripping, visually striking documentaries for global audiences, with credits for Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu and Paramount+ as well as BBC, C4, C5 and ITV.
Her feature documentary The Freeway Killer: Lost Murder Tapes (ID, Amazon Prime) was praised as “powerful, stunning and beautifully done.” America’s Hidden Stories: The Osage Murders (Paramount+)—the companion documentary to Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon—won Best Director at the Dunedin International Film Festival in Florida. Meanwhile, the hit series Accused: Guilty or Innocent (A+E, Hulu) was hailed as “intense and genuinely riveting.”
Drawing on her background in psychology, Anna explores the deeper forces that shape human behaviour in every story she tells. Trained in scripted filmmaking at Raindance Film School, she seamlessly blends cinematic storytelling with documentary filmmaking, weaving dramatic elements into her work with subtlety and flair.
Able to build a rapport with people from all walks of life, Anna has worked with talent from Suranne Jones to Nick Moran, Alex Jones and Joe Marler and filmed with vulnerable contributors from the trans community, addiction centres, homeless shelters and prisons, as well as having worked on warships, in hospitals, in villages in rural Africa with no running water and in a flak jacket in the Persian Gulf.
Anna's films often tackle sensitive access and complex subject matter, approached with empathy and depth. As an accomplished shooting director, she combines striking visual craftsmanship with the intimacy that comes from being behind the camera.
Driven by a passion for uncovering overlooked stories, Anna shines a light on people, places and events that deserve deeper, more nuanced understanding. Her scripted sensibilities bring narrative precision and emotional resonance, while her documentary approach seeks to reveal the broader context and universal truths at the heart of every story.
