Noteable projects include Jimmy Savile: A British Horror Story (Netflix) - a compelling exploration of evil hiding in plain sight; How to Die : Simon’s Choice (BBC) - an intimate family story at the heart of the right to die debate; The Case of Sally Challen (BBC), one woman’s fight for justice after killing her husband; and Our War: Goodbye Afghanistan (BBC) - a thrilling account of British soldiers’ campaign in Afghanistan.
Rowan’s films are driven by fascinating and psychologically nuanced characters, gripping story-telling and told with visual flair and compassion. She has received awards and nominations from BAFTA, Grierson, Royal Television Society and others.
She has recently completed a major new documentary series for Apple TV+. The series, which documents a global story, was made with Molly Thompson, Rose Emer and Colleen Grogan in the US and Lightbox Productions in London.
