Sara Brailsford is a multi-award-winning, Emmy-nominated Showrunner and Executive Producer with an exceptional track record delivering ambitious, large-scale premium television for international broadcasters and streamers.She is known for leading highly creative teams, launching first series and building hit shows, delivering premium-scale storytelling with depth, character and emotion across a wide range of genres including popular history, science, travel, and formatted series.

Sara has originated and/or overseen numerous globally successful series and formats, including The Reluctant Traveller (Apple TV) Babies (Netflix), The World According to Jeff Goldblum (Nat Geo/Disney+), A World of Calm (HBO Max), The ’80s and The ’90s (Nat Geo/Disney+), and What Britain Earns / What Britain’s Buying (Channel 4). Her work is characterised by strong storytelling, emotional depth and consistently high production values. A World of Calm was widely praised for capturing the cultural moment and received extensive international press coverage, including The New York Times, The Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal.

Renowned as a creative problem-solver, Sara is highly valued for running complex productions, delivering exceptional edits and high production values, and creating environments where teams thrive. She has a particular strength in transforming challenged or troubled series into successful hits. 

She has worked closely with leading on-screen and creative talent including Jeff Goldblum, Eugene Levy and Heston Blumenthal, and collaborated with award-winning creatives such as Manish Pandey (Producer, Senna)  on Grand Prix Driver for Amazon Prime, with unprecedented access to the McLaren Formula 1 team.

Sara has held senior leadership roles across the industry, including Commissioning Executive at the BBC and Head of Features at Shine, where she created and produced the UK versions of some of the world’s most popular series including ratings hits Masterchef, Project Catwalk as well as award-winning series Paradise or Bust for BBC.

Earlier in her career she spent five years working with the UK’s biggest brands as Head of Content at Atomized, part of global creative agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty, helping translate premium branded storytelling into long-form narrative projects. Projects include Heston’s Italian Revolution (C4) and Elite Model Look (Hulu)
