Duncan Coates’ London bombings documentary in the running for prestigious editing award

Shout out to Stern & Wild filmmaker Duncan Coates whose heart-racing docuseries ATTACK ON LONDON: HUNTING THE 7/7 BOMBERS has been shortlisted for this year’s BFE Cut Above Awards.

Produced by The Garden for Netflix, the four-part series was released to mark the 20th anniversary of the 2005 London bombings and provides a minute-by-minute account of events surrounding the terror attacks and the hunt to find those responsible. Duncan is Showrunner and Co-Executive Producer.

The series is shortlisted in the BEST EDITED SERIES: DOCUMENTARY OR NON-FICTION PROGRAMME category, with named team members Jennifer Asheitu Hampson, Duncan Hill, Paweł Slawek and George Taylor.

A second Stern & Wild filmmaker who worked on the series is our super talented new client Stephen Franklin – LIMITLESS (Nat Geo/Disney+), ROBBIE WILLIAMS (Netflix), NO TASTE LIKE HOME (Nat Geo/Disney+) – who is Edit Producer.

ATTACK ON LONDON: HUNTING THE 7/7 BOMBERS was the winner of the DOCUMENTARY SERIES – STREAMER prize at the 2025 Televisual Bulldog Awards and was recently nominated for OUTSTANDING THREE-OR-MORE-PART DOCUSERIES at the upcoming True Crime Awards.

Launched in 2021, the BFE Cut Above Awards are hosted by British Film Editors, a non-profit professional association for film and television editors and assistant editors in the UK. This year’s Awards will be held in London at Picturehouse Central on Friday 24 April. For a full list of nominees, click here.
