Laura specialises in filming intimate human stories on prime lenses, giving a cinematic feel to actuality and finding the human side to every story. She works in hostile environments and war zones and has filmed in over 100 countries world-wide.
A number of Laura’s projects have been recognised by Emmy and BAFTA amongst other awards.
Extensive directing experience working with a variety of crew sizes from complicated large-scale multi-camera shoots using a variety of camera platforms including aerial and underwater. And Laura is also a seasoned self-shooter adept at working on prime lenses, comfortable working alone or in the small team essential on projects that require an experienced and independent filmmaker to operate in dangerous or sensitive scenarios. She has extensive experience using covert cameras.
As a Senior Producer Laura has managed teams of Directors to bring to life groundbreaking and award winning documentary series on a variety of subjects from the battleground in conservation TIGERS: HUNTING THE TRAFFICKERS (BBC2) conflict or disaster zones in THE CAJUN NAVY (DISCOVERY), global politics in ANDREW MARR'S MEGACITIES (BBC1) to criminal networks in THE TRAFFICKERS (NETFLIX).
