Brand-funded project from Stern & Wild client drops on YouTube

Huge congratulations to Stern & Wild filmmaker Marcus Liversedge, director of the pioneering new comedy The Blondey Way which has just launched on YouTube.

The six-part series is the first scripted comedy from artist, clothes designer, skateboarder and model Blondey McCoy, who writes and stars as a hyper version of himself. It centres on his attempt to pitch and sell a comedy show to BBC Three having previously been a judge on the channel’s streetwear design competition show The Drop. The series is independently funded, in large part by Blondey’s own fashion and skateboard company Thames MMXX, and is the first foray into scripted content from UK indie Renowned Films, whose credits include Elvis’ Women (Amazon), My Son Jeffrey: The Dahmer Family Tapes (Fox/Paramount+) and Ice Cold Catch (Discovery+). Marcus is an Emmy winning director whose recent work includes Jack Whitehall: Fatherhood with My Father (Netflix) and Home for Christmas with Hannah Waddingham (Apple TV+). He was series director of The Drop.

The first episode of The Blondey Way is out now on YouTube, with new episodes dropping weekly on Tuesdays at 9:00pm. Read more about the series in Broadcast or check out the first episode here.
