Two projects from Stern & Wild clients in the running for the RTS Craft & Design Awards

Congratulations to Stern & Wild filmmakers Jenny Ash and Sally Brindle and to their fantastic teams whose brilliant projects have been nominated for the 2025 RTS Craft & Design Awards.

Colourist Aiden Farrell is nominated for the best Picture Enhancement award for feature documentary FLIGHT 149: HOSTAGE OF WAR (Drum Studios for Sky) which was originated, written and directed by Jenny Ash. The film tells the extraordinary story of the nearly 400 passengers and crew of BA Flight 149 who unknowingly landed in Kuwait just hours after the start of the Iraqi invasion in 1990 - and were taken hostage by Saddam Hussein to be used as human shields. It’s truly eye-opening.

Our second client project award nod is for best Sound - Non-scripted for the three-part documentary SURVIVING BLACK HAWK DOWN (RSA Films for Netflix) which was series produced by Sally Brindle. Another amazing production, the series re-examines the 1993 Battle of Mogadishu in Somalia, which was depicted in Ridley Scott’s Oscar-winning 2001 feature film BLACK HAWK DOWN, providing perspectives from both sides of the conflict. The nominees are Gerrit Swanepoel, Jay Price, Tom Foster, Maggy Apodaca & the Sound Team.

Good luck to every nominee. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Monday 8 December 2025 at the London Hilton on Park Lane. Read the full list of nominees here.
