Duncan Singh is a visually driven, imaginative director and award winning producer of beautifully crafted films spanning arts, science & history. He tells stories that resonate globally and has delivered for Nat Geo, Netflix, Disney+, BBC, PBS and NBC. His current project is the NBC Universal prehistoric epic Surviving Earth partnering with the creator of the global phenomenon Walking With Dinosaurs.

Duncan is passionate about compelling human narratives and is well known for his strong relationships with on screen talent, and his ability to deliver authentic and open performances. Whether it’s with a high profile host (David Olusoga, Extra Life, PBS) or big name talent (Platon, Thomas Heatherwick, Anton Lesser, The Art that Made Us, BBC).

His films range from the highly scripted, storyboarded and produced to the more observational; Lost Tomb of Alexander the Great, Disney+ / Nat Geo. He’s experienced in telling well known contemporary history in a fresh way through archive (Charles and Diana, The Truth About their Wedding, BBC WW/C5), and using feature film level CGI (Earth,BBC/PBS, coming summer 2023).

An excellent writer and edit producer, Duncan has a strong track record of making complex subjects accessible (Babies, Netflix). He’s also a highly skilled self-shooter, and has run large scale and complex international shoots, from the mountains of Greenland, to the deserts of Egypt and the rainforests of the Amazon.

When he is not making films, he is an experienced Development Executive with a track record in selling single films and series in the UK and internationally.
