Sofia is an award winning documentary film maker specialising in music-driven feature documentaries. She’s been working in television for 20 years and has credits on shows across a huge range of genres from high-end fiction and television series comedy to entertainment and commercials.
Sofia brings knowledge, humour and experience from these forms to her films. She’s particularly interested in retrospective storytelling with dramatic signature elements to elevate the story. In this vein, she greets each project with an ambitious lens, seeking a beautiful aesthetic and emotional truth.
Sofia has delivered for Netflix, Sky and Hulu. In 2018 she produced and directed, Lost In Vagueness a rags to riches feature doc set in Glastonbury Festival . The film was Executive Produced by Dartmouth Films, BAFTA nominee Christo Hird (Dying to Divorce, The Ponds) and edited by John Mister (Bullet Boy, The Battle for Barking, Monty Python’s Holy Grail). Her short scripted film, Make Me A King, is touring festivals in 2022, including the London BFI Flare.
