Tom Dumican is an EMMY and Grierson award nominated director for the world’s leading studios and streamers including Disney+, Amazon Prime, A&E IndieFilms and Apple TV+.

Cutting his directing teeth with investigative documentaries for the likes of National Geographic Channel and Al Jazeera, and with branded content campaigns for global brands including Pepsi Co, Mazda, and Bose, all Tom’s work, no matter what the genre, brings his signature blend of premium visuals and authentic documentary storytelling.

His debut feature documentary, NO GREATER LAW, gained unprecedented access to an American religious sect fighting for their right to withhold medical treatment from their children. Critically acclaimed for its journalistic nous, tense narrative focus, and filmmaking craft, it had a global film festival run before airing across A&E Networks as one of its flag ship specials.

Whether it’s leading multicam shoots with A-list talent or running small crews in hostile environments on unfolding narratives, Tom works on some of the most high-profile documentary series aimed at a global audience.

For the Olivia Coleman narrated, Apple TV+ series BECOMING YOU, Tom wrote, produced, and directed across all six episodes including the jaw dropping opening sequence of a three-year-old boy crossing Tokyo alone. During his stint on LIMITLESS WITH CHRIS HEMSWORTH, a series created by Darren Aronofsky, Tom told the stories of a group of indigenous women in the mountains of Mexico and an 85-year-old grandmother and bodybuilder in Baltimore for the Strength episode.

Tom spent a year in Hackney, London following the trials and tribulations of an under 13 amateur football team and directing complex multi-camera set ups with football icon David Beckham for the four-part Disney+ series, SAVE OUR SQUAD

For Tom’s latest series, 007 – ROAD TO A MILLION for Amazon Prime, set to launch in the fall of 2023, he directed crews of up to forty, shooting adventure sequences and exhilarating stunts with members of the public as they attempt to win large cash prizes. Produced by 72 Films and Eon Productions, this is the first documentary to be connected to the James Bond movie franchise with Tom writing and directing scenes across the eight episodes in locations including Scotland, Turkey and Jamaica.
