Stern & Wild client helms Alison Hammond’s newly launched celeb interview series
Shout out to Stern & Wild filmmaker Marcus Liversedge whose brilliant new celebrity reality series Alison Hammond’s Big Weekend launched on BBC One and iPlayer last Friday.
The six-part series sees the popular TV presenter spend 48 hours with a different UK celebrity each episode, giving viewers a glimpse into their homes, histories and personal lives. The show kicked off with Alison travelling to South Shields to interview former Little Mix star Perrie Edwards, who opens up about her childhood, becoming a mother, and her time in one of the most successful girl-bands in British history. The other guests are comedian Jimmy Carr, actor and comedian Sir Lenny Henry, Spice Girl star Mel B, actor Luke Evans and boxer Tony Bellew.
The series is produced by BBC Studios Entertainment Productions and was commissioned by Kalpna Patel-Knight, Head of Entertainment at the BBC. The Commissioning Editor for the BBC is Katie Taylor. Executive Producers are Mel Balac, Creative Director for Entertainment at BBC Studios and Rina Dayalj. Marcus is Series Director.
Marcus is a multi-award winning Director working across drama, premium documentary, comedy, music and reality. His other recent directing credits include: the London segments for the Carpool Karaoke Christmas special for Apple TV+, which featured Dua Lipa, Chappell Roan and Lady Gaga; the scripted six-part comedy series The Blondey Way for Youtube/Adidas; and all the documentary elements and interviews for An Evening with Dua Lipa for ITV/CBS/Paramount+.
