New doc from Stern & Wild client looks behind the glitz and glamour of modern-day Las Vegas

Congratulations to Stern & Wild filmmaker Adnan Ahmed whose fascinating new two-part series exploring the reality of life in a rebranded Las Vegas launches on BBC Three tonight.

SIN CITY: THE REAL LAS VEGAS looks at how the desert city has been reinvented to attract a new generation of wealthy visitors by shifting from a focus on gambling to become a go-to destination for live entertainment. It investigates how the city has changed and highlights the extreme divide between the luxurious, revamped tourist experience and the struggles of local workers and the homeless population.

The series is a Northern Child production for the BBC. Adnan is Series Director and was responsible for shooting the series, setting the visual style and tone, and much of the writing and edit producing. Claire Burnett is Series Producer. It is produced by Katie Elliott and is presented by journalist and documentary filmmaker Tir Dhondy.

The first episode launches on BBC Three at 10.15pm tonight and both episodes are available to stream on iPlayer from today.
