Nicolas Brown’s royal documentary is riding high in Amazon’s charts

Huge congratulations to Stern & Wild filmmaker Nicolas Brown whose landmark film on King Charles’ environmental philosophy is currently the #3 documentary on Amazon Prime Video.

The 90-min FINDING HARMONY: A KING’S VISION dropped on the platform on Friday, achieving the #6 spot across all UK content on launching. Director Nicolas discusses the film’s creation in the latest Behind the Scenes feature in Broadcast Magazine.

For the article, director Nicolas outlines some of the singular challenges involved in crafting a film about the environmental legacy of someone who is now the UK’s Head of State. He says: “We understood that this project represented something genuinely unusual: an environmental film with the potential to reach an audience far beyond the traditional documentary space.” The feature includes insight from the project’s director of photography, Tim Cragg.

Produced by Passion Planet in collaboration with The King’s Foundation for Prime Video, the 90-min film charts the story of how King Charles, as Prince of Wales, pursued early environmentalism and spoke up for the science behind biodiversity loss, deforestation and climate change long before these issues became mainstream. It also shows the monarch’s philosophy in practice through the life-changing work of his charity, The King’s Foundation.

To celebrate FINDING HARMONY’S launch, the makers have released a short film on the project’s production journey. To watch it, click here.
