Broadcast Digital Award nod for Stern & Wild client’s prison corruption exposé
We are delighted for Stern & Wild filmmaker Derren Lawford and the whole team behind the fantastic 30-min documentary UK PRISONS – SEX, DRUGS & CORRUPTION: UNTOLD which has been shortlisted for a Broadcast Digital Award.
Nominated for Best Current Affairs Programme, the disturbing film tackles corruption amongst prison officers as it uncovers a hidden world inside UK prisons and reveals shocking attitudes towards inmate relationships, illicit drug use and a culture of unchecked violence.
It is presented by ex-prisoner David Navarro and was produced for Channel 4’s digital-first documentary strand UNTOLD by Derren’s now shuttered Dare Pictures (FUGITIVE: THE MYSTERY OF THE CRYPTO QUEEN for Channel 4/Sky Germany, THE SECRETS OF UK PRISONS: UNTOLD for Channel 4, EXPOSED GEORDIE STORIES: SOPHIE’S FERTILITY JOURNEY for Paramount+). Derren is Exec Producer.
Congratulations to Derren and the whole team on this brilliant nomination. We’ll be keeping our fingers crossed!
Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Wednesday, 1 July at The Brewery in London. For a full list of nominations or to read more about the awards, click here.
