Stern & Wild’s Anna Keel partners with eminent producer on intriguing bio project
We are thrilled to announce that newly-signed Stern & Wild filmmaker Anna Keel is teaming with renowned producer Margaret Bowling to direct her first independently funded feature documentary. While details remain under wraps, we can report the project will explore the life and work of a female war reporter from “a unique angle”.
Anna is a multi-award winning director and cinematographer with a reputation for creating powerful and popular series and single documentaries for a range of major broadcasters and streaming services. Her credits include the series SURANNE JONES: INVESTIGATING WITCH TRIALS for Channel 4 and TWISTED SISTERS: MADNESS & MANSLAUGHTER for Channel 5, and the feature documentaries THE FREEWAY KILLER: LOST MURDER TAPES for Discovery ID/Amazon Prime and AMERICA’S HIDDEN STORIES: THE OSAGE MURDERS for Paramount+ which was commissioned as a companion doc for Martin Scorsese’s multi-Oscar nominated 2023 feature film KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON.
Anna is thrilled to be working on her upcoming film with powerhouse producer Margaret Bowling who is known for her premium documentaries about wild people and wild places. Sports fans may also know Margaret from her time as a world-famous ocean rower: she was the first Australian woman to row across an ocean and the first to do it twice. In her film career, she has worked on projects alongside heavyweights Jason Bateman, James Cameron and Darren Aranofsky and with music artists including The Rolling Stones and Shania Twain. In addition to Anna’s project, Margaret is currently producing the directorial debut from Robert Ford, producer of Netflix’s free-diving feature doc THE DEEPEST BREATH and the hit theatrical release SUPER/MAN: THE CHRISTOPHER REEVE STORY.
Anna is represented at Stern & Wild by Camilla Chiverton, Agent for Premium Unscripted Creative Talent.
