Gripping spy thriller documentary from Stern & Wild client lands in the UK today

We are thrilled to announce that Stern & Wild filmmaker Dan Vernon’s riveting feature documentary about a 2018 chemical weapon attack on British soil that sparked a global crisis is available to watch in the UK on Sky Documentaries and streaming service NOW from today.

THE SALISBURY POISONINGS: A SPY NEXT DOOR examines the 2018 Novichok nerve agent attack on former Russian intelligence agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia in Salisbury and charts how this local incident exploded into an international showdown, revealing the escalating shadow conflict between Russia and the West. The film has already proved a hit with viewers in the US where it premiered on CNN in mid-July. We expect it will be particularly resonant for viewers in the country where the attack took place.

With the pace of a spy thriller, the film reconstructs Skripal’s life as a spy using his own words, examines his relationship with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, and takes us through the dramatic events surrounding his poisoning. It includes rare in-depth interviews with the senior UK officials who led the response to the incident, including former Prime Minister Theresa May, together with first responders, the people of Salisbury and investigative journalist Christo Grozev who was pivotal in identifying the suspects behind the attack.
