Projects from Stern & Wild filmmakers on the Primetime Emmy shortlist: three productions, six nominations
We are delighted to announce that three fantastic projects involving Stern & Wild filmmakers have been nominated for this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards. Congratulations to Ben Jessop, Ian Denyer, Sara Brailsford, David Belton, Annabel Hobley and Duncan Singh.
The second season of the hit food travel series TUCCI IN ITALY (BBC Studios Specialist Factual Productions and Salt Productions for Nat Geo) is shortlisted in three categories: Outstanding Hosted Non-fiction Series or Special, Outstanding Cinematography for a Non-fiction Programme (Le Marche episode; Director of Photography Matt Ball) and Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Non-fiction Programme (Naples & Campania episode; Re-Recording Mixer Ben Newth and Production Mixer Christopher Syner). Ben Jessop is Showrunner and Co-Exec Producer, while Ian Denyer is one of the season’s two Directors.
The third season of the witty travel series THE RELUCTANT TRAVELLER WITH EUGENE LEVY (Twofour in association with Apple for Apple TV) is also nominated for the Outstanding Hosted Non-fiction Series or Special prize and is shortlisted in the Outstanding Writing for a Non-fiction Programme category (Living the Royal Life in the UK episode; Writers David Reilly and Christine Rose). The season is exec produced by Sara Brailsford.
Our final Stern & Wild client-involved project shortlisted for a Primetime Emmy this year is the landmark 20-part documentary series WORLD WAR II WITH TOM HANKS (A+E Factual Studios group/Nutopia/Playtone and Motion Entertainment for the HISTORY Channel). The series is nominated for Outstanding Sound Editing for a Non-fiction or Reality Programme (Opening episode; Supervising Sound Editor Luke Hatfield). David Belton, Annabel Hobley and Duncan Singh are Producer Directors on the series.
