Stern & Wild filmmakers net nine nominations for this year’s BAFTA TV and TV Craft Awards
We are thrilled to report that projects from Stern & Wild filmmakers have received four nominations for this year’s BAFTA Television Awards and five nominations for the BAFTA Television Craft Awards. Congratulations to Sally Brindle, Duncan Coates, Stephen Franklin, John Hodgson, Kira Phillips, Benedict Sanderson, Alex Thomas and Toby Trackman.
Kicking off the TV Award nominations are two nods for best Factual Series. Alex Thomas is Series Director of the three-part documentary BIBAA & NICOLE: MURDER IN THE PARK (True Vision TV for Sky Documentaries) which is shortlisted alongside the two-part documentary SEE NO EVIL (Passion Pictures for Channel 4) on which Kira Phillips is Executive Producer and Benedict Sanderson is Series Director.
In the running for best Entertainment Performance is Romesh Ranganathan who is shortlisted for the four-part series ROMESH: CAN’T KNOCK THE HUSTLE (Ranga Bee Productions for Sky Max). John Hodgson is Series Producer.
The final TV Award nomination is for the three-part series SURVIVING BLACK HAWK DOWN (RSA Films for Netflix) which is shortlisted in the Specialist Factual category. Sally Brindle is Series Producer.
Heading our hopes in the TV Craft Awards is an exciting and well-deserved best Director: Factual nomination for Benedict Sanderson for the TV Award Factual Series nominee SEE NO EVIL (Passion Pictures for Channel 4).
Also competing in both Awards is SURVIVING BLACK HAWK DOWN (RSA Films for Netflix) which is nominated for a TV Craft Award in the Photography: Factual category. (Nominees are Stefano Ferrari and Tim Cragg.)
There are two TV Craft Award nominations for the feature documentary THE LAST MUSICIAN OF AUSCHWITZ (Two Rivers Media in association with Access for BBC) which is directed by Toby Trackman. It is shortlisted for best Original Music: Factual (Jessica Dannheisser) and best Sound: Factual (Tristan Powell, Will Chapman).
The final client project competing for a TV Craft Award is the four-part series ATTACK ON LONDON: HUNTING THE 7/7 BOMBERS (The Garden Productions for Netflix) which is nominated in the Editing: Factual category (Jennifer Asheitu Hampson). Duncan Coates is Showrunner and Co-Executive Producer and Stephen Franklin is Edit Producer.
